• What is it? Our free Tuesday and Thursday show. Sarah and Beth process the news together - sometimes by stepping back and looking at the big picture of the news, sometimes talking about how the headlines make them feel, always trying to engage from an honest and vulnerable point of view to model the conversations and respectful disagreement we don’t see enough of in our current political environment.

• Who is it for? Anyone can listen for free here on our website, on any podcast player, and (new in 2025) via video on YouTube.

Good Morning

• What is it? A Monday - Thursday overview of the headlines. We want to help you stay informed without taking over your day with long reads and analysis. We think of it as sitting down with a good friend over a cup of coffee (or tea or Diet Coke or water) and catching up on what’s happening. On Thursday, Sarah shares a Good News Brief.

• Who is it for? Good Morning is included in our Premium Subscription on Substack.

• What is it? On More to Say, Beth dives below the headlines and synthesizes what we may miss in the news. In a world full of memes and hot takes, Beth gives us a more complex analysis of everything from the Supreme Court to nuclear power in a way that you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand.

• Are there ads? Not usually. We will always disclose affiliate links and sponsored content.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Can I listen to the Premium Episodes in my podcast player? Yes. Substack has a great “how to” about this here.

• Help! I’m having trouble finding my premium episodes in the Substack app.

  • First, make sure you’re logged into the app with the same email address that is associated with your paid account.

  • Second, at the bottom of the display in your app there is a “subscriptions” tab that looks like and inbox (📥), if you tap that, it should take you to the content you’re subscribed to.

  • You may have gotten autosubscribed to many creators when you signed up for your Substack subscription; you can manage those in your settings.

• How do I manage my payments?

  • You need to log in to your account using a web browser. You can do this on a desktop or laptop computer or on a mobile device, but be sure you open the web browser (Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.) to log in to substack.com to manage payments.

  • We could go down a long rabbit hole about the Apple tax. And since you’re here, we know you’re interested in the “why” of things. So, here you go.
