When I was a kid, there was one pharmacy in town, and I knew the pharmacist’s name and family. Now, you can stand anywhere in my community, throw a rock, and hit a Walgreens or CVS. I haven’t known a pharmacist’s name (other than friends in the profession) since my childhood.
