Sarah and Beth have had a busy election season, and have been on quite a few other podcasts that we thought you may want to know about.
SO MANY of you first found Sarah and Beth from our friend Jen Hatmaker on her podcast For the Love. They were back with her and her new cohost Amy just after the DNC to share their thoughts on this election: MAKING SENSE OF THE 2024 ELECTION: With Pantsuit Politics’ Sarah Stewart Holland and Beth Silvers (For the Love with Jen Hatmaker)
You know that the intersection of celebrity and politics is our jam, so when we were asked by Judy Kurtz to weigh in on this piece for The Hill, we obviously said yes: Taylor Swift, Brittany Mahomes underscore dividing lines: Can Democrats and Republicans be friends? by Amie Parnes and Judy Kurtz (The Hill)
We love talking with our friend and reporter Erica Mandy (who works HARD to provide a truly neutral space for daily news) on her Special Edition Saturday: Special Edition: Debate Breakdown - Policy Wins, ‘Eating the Cats’ & Was it Fair? (The Newsworthy with Erica Mandy)
This list of podcasts truly runs the gamut, and we were delighted to be included: The 11 best politics podcasts of 2024, per Audible’s ‘Most Listened’ by Angela Tricarico (The New York Post)
Jenn and Laura are working to create a space for working Moms to be and value themselves, we loved talking to them: How to Have Grace-Filled Political Conversations with Sarah and Beth of Pantsuit Politics (Mighty as a Mother Podcast with Jenn Cohen + Laura Demuth)
We know so many of you are in it navigating faith and politics, so this might be a nice listen: Pantsuit Politics: I Think You’re Wrong, But I’m Listening (Becoming Church Podcast)
We loved our event at Edgewood UMC last month, and this write up from Angele Latham captured so much of what we try to accomplish in our work: As politics pull people more apart, a church hosts event for 'grace-filled' conversations Angele Latham (The Nashville Tennessean)
This was a super fun crossover episode/political therapy session with the Political Playlist Happy hour: Happy Hour with Pantsuit Politics (Political Playlist Happy Hour Podcast)
Please don’t stop sending us updates about how you’re getting involved with this election!!!! We shared about Carol’s decision to send postcards last week, and a few weeks ago, we shared about Michelle Badger’s Primary for State Legislature in Massachusetts (important update: she won!!!). This week, we were delighted to hear from Rachel, who went canvassing for the first time with Moms Demand Action.
Hi Sarah & Beth,
A quick note to tell you how deeply your work has impacted me: I went canvassing with my neighbor for Moms Demand Action action yesterday. This was my first time knocking on doors! We were supposed to be knocking on primarily democratic doors to get out the vote and inform about races for state congress. Several people we talked to were Trump supporters, and with one woman in particular, I found myself talking about my pro-life background and how that connects to my concerns for my children’s gun safety.
All to say, the conversations you’ve had on the show, the stories you’ve shared from your own lives, the way you humanize those you disagree with—it all came up from inside me when I was on those doorsteps yesterday, and I felt overwhelmed. And I’m so grateful to have that foundation in my heart and mind! Thank you!
TBD if I’ll go back out—it took a lot of energy! But I am so grateful for the experience, not least of which is getting to a new neighborhood in my city that had way more Trump support than I thought was possible in our blue bubble of Madison.
Rachel
The one thing we want you to know this week…
As you all know, Beth and I went to the DNC a few weeks ago. What you don't know is that our listener Kate sent us a wristlet from her company, Avryn Co., that went EVERYWHERE with me.Â
This Avryn wristlet was the perfect thing to carry Pantsuit Politics business cards with me everywhere we went without having to dig through a purse, risk forgetting them, or adding hassle as we went through layers of security.
I am always searching for ways to simplify I need to get out the door and the Avryn wristlet is just the thing to clip onto my keys what I need to walk out the door whether I need business cards, a safe place for my ID, extra cash, band-aids, or (my other favorite) Loop earplugs. Plus, it came in the loveliest package that would make a perfect gift for yourself or someone else.Â
Kate is partnering with us to help you lighten your load. Set your hands free and use code PANTSUIT for 15% off sitewide1.
Visit Avryn Co. and use the code PANTSUIT or this link to automatically apply the 15% off in your cart.
The one thing we made this week we can’t stop thinking about…
Last week, when we talked about Government Funding and the National Debt, Beth mentioned that there was More to Say about all the reasons grocery bills are higher than they used to be. She took a little bit of time on our Premium Channel to dig into just that topic. We also shared it here for our Substack subscribers.

Glad you could join us at Edgehill United Methodist Church here in Nashville! We appreciate your time with us!
Oh my goodness! The article about friends hit home so hard! I live in northwest Louisiana, just miles from both the Arkansas and Texas state lines. (Mike Johnson is my Congressman 😖). My hashtag on Peloton is #Bluedotinaredsea. If I weren’t friends with Republicans, I would have no friends. Even my husband is a Republican (who did not vote for Trump in 2016 and voted for Harris/Walz today.) 🥰 I have no family here but I have my sisters (one in NOLA and one in Madison, WI) as well as 2 nieces (in NOLA and Los Angeles) that I speak to and text regularly as well as a friend in Baton Rouge and we are all lifelong Democrats. That keeps me sane. I just don’t know what we will do if he is re-elected … I will not be able to stay here if that happens!
