I put up our tree with lights in early November but I decorate it with red and gold balls and gold beaded garland and fake autumn leaves from Michael's. So it's my Thanksgiving tree - but I get the soft twinkle light vibe to get the holiday season going. Then the day after Thanksgiving, all i have to do is swap out the ornaments and the tree skirt and voila! Christmas Tree without the major chore of setting it up. This makes me so happy!!!
The Christmas tree itself can not go up until AFTER my birthday which is November 28. Sometimes that means it goes up NIV 29, but usually we put it up some time during the first week in December. We put up a live tree, so it comes down January 1.
Thanks for an amazing 10 years; here's to another decade of conversations that never ask listeners to look away from complexity, but instead tackle it with the empathy and grace that are the trademarks of Pantsuit Politics.
I started following in 2015-early 2016 during the presidential campaigns. Pantsuit Politics has been consistency in a chaotic world and something whose voice I could trust was giving me true, factual Information in our ever-increasing disinformation age. When I am burnt out from the emotion, I know Sarah and Beth have done that hard work of distilling truth and getting the story straight and I can feel better knowing I understand. A comfort, a raft in this stormy environment, somewhere I know I am safe to share my thoughts and have intelligent discourse.
I love you both so much. I love this community. (shoutout to the DSM-area Iowa group text!) I am grateful every day I asked my Facebook friends for podcast recommendations and a friend of a friend in law school recommended you. Cheers to 10 and many more years!!! Whether that’s Pantsuit or something else, I hope to hear both of your voices on the public stage because it’s so so so important to have people like you here to make sure us, the masses, are properly educated and informed. HUGS AND LOVE TO ALL ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations on 10 years of modeling political discourse, learning, changing your mind, and not letting politics consume you. I am eternally grateful for what I have learned from you both and I am a better person in my community because of it!
I’m so ready for some sparkle ✨ and joy that I would put up our (fake) tree this weekend… but I have middle grade kids and my sanity will not survive 40 days of their Christmas inquiries 🙄 so the Christmas decorations will need to wait until early December
Actually, I put out special ornaments in a bowl and put up a wreath. Sometimes we get a live tree and plant it around New Year's. I bake my mom's cookie recipe and I like to do resolutions and a collage on New Year's Day.

Thanks for all the work you do to keep us from free falling.
And as for Christmas trees? After Thanksgiving.
But with holiday music, that begins early November!

See! I'm ready for that, too!!!!!! I think I'll just do it and take the consequences
This piece captures so much of what I love about Pantsuit Politcs! I haven’t been around for ten years, but it might be eight (!) and I’m so grateful!
Yes, congrats to you both! Thanks for being here.
