Welcome to the Water Cooler
Today on Pantsuit Politics, we’re sharing Sarah's conversation with Chef Sarah Bradley (of Top Chef fame) for Paducah Life earlier this year. It’s a conversation about coming home, careers, small towns, and bringing the parts of ourselves together.
We hope that if you are ‘going home’ (whatever that means to you) this week, this conversation helps ground you into why connecting to our places and people is worth it.
If going home is tender for you, we wanted to share a few conversations we’ve had the past two years in preparation for when politics comes up around the Thanksgiving Table:
(And if you’d like a throwback to WAY back, this conversation is from 2019)

If you ever wonder, “Have Sarah and Beth talked about this?” we have a searchable archive of Pantsuit Politics here.
Sarah and Beth debriefed from our Team Retreat last week. One of the practical takeaways that will affect our programming is that after Thanksgiving, we’ll release our Tuesday episodes later in the day to give us time to account for breaking news on Monday.
A Few Things We’re Reading
Beth is all in on the University of Kentucky basketball team and their coach, Mark Pope. Click here if you’d like to read a long, insightful, and rich X post on the topic.
Researchers are questioning if ADHD should be seen as a disorder: It should, instead, be seen as a different way of being normal (The Economist)
Sometimes you ask about the Louise Penny series that Beth (and Alise) are reading: Chief Inspector Gamache Series.

The Paducah Live weekend was one of my highlights of last year! Meeting Sarah Bradley was just the icing on the cake! Ask Sandra or Christie how fangirled I was when we got there… thanks to Sandra, I got to chat with her for a minute and it was everything I hoped. They say, don’t meet you idols, but that weekend proved it wrong. The PP crew is exactly as they are on the podcast and Sarah was just as real and fun as on Top Chef. ❤️
