In an alternate universe, I'm a professional organizer. I love it so much. It soothes my soul. I've even helped friends organize and corral the chaos.
So...when there is a space that has truly defeated me, you know it's a big deal. My sons' closet was that space. It was constantly messy, disorganized, and overwhelming. When Tara and Colleen from House Peace volunteered to help me, I couldn't even identify the underlying problem, which freaked me out more than anything.
Thank God they could.

I was keeping too many clothes to pass down.
That was it. It was that simple. I think that often happens in organizing. The issue is the water you don't even realize you're swimming in, which is why having someone help you see it is invaluable.
If you'd like help from House Peace, Tara has a Closet Bootcamp coming up later this month, AND she's offering our listeners $20 off with the code SARAH20
Norma: Leaked discussions reveal uncertainty about transgender care (The Economist)
Mike: I am never sad when I listen to Throughline, and their episode on the rise of the Israeli right-wing is especially excellent
Robin: I can’t take the chance that you didn’t see this one! It’s priceless! The Supreme Court Decides this Year’s Best Picture Winner (McSweeney’s - note: SATIRE)
There is no easy way to transition to this, but we wanted to share that our listener, Kelly, has experienced the profound loss of her daughter. They will celebrate her short and beautiful life tomorrow, and we wanted to encourage all of you to wear your favorite color, per her family’s request. We hope you’ll join us in lighting a candle and sending them all our love and light during this heartbreaking and challenging time.
