Good Trouble
This week, we found out that Elon Musk could not purchase a State Supreme Court in Wisconsin (shout out to Ben Wickler and the WisDems!) and Cory Booker decided to make some good history and beat Strom Thurmond’s filibuster record.
Sarah celebrated all this with a bonus Good News brief on Wednesday.

This week, all voting in the United States House of Representatives came to a standstill because Florida Republican Representative Anna Paulina Luna and a group of bipartisan Congressional Representatives wanted to allow proxy (remote) voting for new parents, and Speaker Mike Johnson did not.

Maggie - i feel like you should supplement each book by listening to the corresponding Presidential podcast episode! It is still one of my faves almost 10 years later, and I've gone back and listened to different episodes from time to time.
