A shout out: I’m so happy with the switch to Lemonada. The quantity and quality of the ads seems so much better!

I am still thinking the United CEO and I’m glad you’re continuing to talk about it. I think what I am really struggling with is that OF COURSE I don’t think murder is okay. Of course I want justice and expect that the suspect will be held accountable. But even as I expect this, I ALSO struggle to feel that what he did is somehow worse than what the insurance companies are doing. And there is no accountability with THEM. In America people die all the time for lack of healthcare or coverage. And I feel like we’re just expected to accept that. Of course I don’t think violence is the solution. But I also don’t think it’s fair to talk about how what Luigi Magione did was so abhorrent when we run something like healthcare as a business to make money. I don’t wish violence on anyone in any circumstance. But I hope that this larger conversation can move the needle in a direction of how we can expect more from the people who make decisions that help us live or die.
