I haven't listened to this whole episode yet, but I love that you used this format! We did not have Future Problem-Solving in the time/place where I grew up and I really think I would have loved it.

I just wanted to comment on one thing before I forget, which is the idea that people don't care about the environment because they like the warmer weather. I don't think that moving to a warmer climate is the same as thinking it's ok that everything is warming up. I've lived my whole life (51 years) in New England, which is a place that people tend to move from when the winters start feeling too hard. Before the pandemic I used to take a bus to work, which was especially difficult in the winter. Navigating icy sidewalks, having to literally climb over snowbanks, waiting in the freezing cold for a bus that is 30 minutes late - these things are all much harder and more risky when you get older. Now I drive to work, but I still have to clean snow and ice off the car and shovel it out. This is physically demanding work. It is exhausting I can understand why people want to move to Arizona when they start getting older. But that doesn't mean that we welcome 65 degree weather in November. It's getting real weird here in New England and I think we're all acknowledging that. "Nice day today! It shouldn't be this nice in November though!" No, I think the reason people seem like they don't care about climate change is because we feel powerless to do anything about it. The tiny things that individuals can change in their own lives are nothing compared to the effects of decisions by large companies and governments. It really feels futile sometimes.

I’m not done with it yet but I think this might be my favorite PP episode ever (and I’ve been listening for years)! Consider making this a recurring feature. ♥️
